Your Bremo Pharmacies are owned and operated by Richmond Apothecaries Inc., whose leaders make up our board of Directors
We take our responsibility of providing leadership and direction to the Bremo Pharmacy team very seriously. With each business decision, we strive to live up to the goals and standards that our founder, Dan Herbert, set back in 1976. Namely, our focus is on you: our friends and neighbors.
You can feel at home in any of our locations, knowing our team of pharmacists have your best interests in mind.
“I love being a part of the Bremo team, because every day I see them finding new ways to be friendly and caring.”
Hello, I’m Catherine Cary. I’m a second generation pharmacist at Bremo Pharmacy. I grew up a part of Bremo Pharmacy, where I have worked in most every position from delivery driver, to pharmacist, to CEO. I graduated from VCU School of Pharmacy with my Bachelors of Pharmacy in 1989, and my Doctorate of Pharmacy in 1994. In my spare time I enjoy cycling and serving as a Scout leader.
“I enjoy being a part of the Bremo family, because we are small and we can make a real difference for the people we serve in central Virginia.”
My name is Keith Kittinger. I am the Vice President for Bremo Pharmacy and serve as Pharmacist and Manager for Bremo Long Term Care Pharmacy. As a 3rd generation pharmacist, I have been around pharmacy my entire life. I graduated from MCV/VCU School of Pharmacy in 1972. I also serve as a member of the Board of Central Virginia NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness). My greatest influences in pharmacy were Dan Herbert (Bremo founder), my pharmacist father, and grandfather. In my spare time I enjoy photography, golf, and spending time with my four grandchildren.
“My career brought me to Bremo Pharmacy, where I can still enjoy this same family feel while continuing my focus on taking care of patients and serving the community.”
Hello, I'm Tana Kaefer. I grew up in a small, family owned pharmacy in Elkton,VA and learned very early the importance of being involved in the community and taking care of patients. I have been with Bremo Pharmacy since 2005, and currently serve as the Clinical Coordinator for Bremo Long Term Care Pharmacy. I graduated from VCU in 2004 with my Doctorate of Pharmacy. After graduation, I completed a Community Pharmacy Residency through VCU, with my primary practice site at Bremo Pharmacy. In addition to being very active within the pharmacy profession on a local and state level, I enjoy staying physically active and have special interests in both fitness and nutrition.
“I love that Bremo Pharmacy truly cares about their patients and understands their needs.”
I’m Sandy Hendrick, and I have been with Bremo Pharmacy since 2008 as a pharmacist at Bremo Long Term Care. I enjoy being part of the link between the patient and their doctor, and helping either to the best of my ability. I obtained my Bachelors of Pharmacy degree from MCV/VCU School of Pharmacy in 1985. In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching sports, and traveling with my husband and two children.
“I love working at Bremo, because we are a progressive company and incorporate new ideas to help our customers.”
Hello, my name is Diane Fonner. I have been with Bremo Pharmacy since 1996 as a pharmacist. I mainly work at Bremo Long Term Care Pharmacy and I am also a relief pharmacist for our other two locations. I enjoy working at all the locations: I like knowing our customers by name and I enjoy helping others learn about health related questions. I graduated from Mercer Southern School of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia in 1991 with my Doctorate of Pharmacy. In my spare time, if I’m not playing taxi for my very active twin boys, I enjoy reading, gardening, and volunteering in the community.
“I enjoy working at Bremo because of the patients and the impact we have on them; I know that I am making a difference in their lives, because they share their love of Bremo all the time.”
Greetings, I am Jenni Helmke, the Clinical Coordinator, manager, and pharmacist in charge at Bremo Pharmacy. Part of my responsibilities are counseling patients and teaching the Bremo Pharmacy Technician Preparatory Course. I graduated from VCU School of Pharmacy in 2010 with my Doctorate of Pharmacy. After graduation, I completed a Community Pharmacy Residency through VCU School of Pharmacy, with my primary practice site being Bremo Pharmacy. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, and have been to over 15 different countries.
“I am so happy that I am now a part of the Bremo team. The service and family feeling remind me daily of why I selected pharmacy as my profession when I was just 15 years old.”
Hello, I’m Mary Curtis. I grew up in a small town in North Carolina and my very first job at the age of 15 was in the pharmacy with my cousin, who is also a pharmacist. I knew I wanted to be in the healthcare profession but seeing the impact that my cousin was able to have on a patient’s health and well-being allowed me to develop my love and passion for pharmacy. I graduated from Shenandoah University in 2011 with my doctorate of pharmacy. It has been a pleasure joining Bremo and I love being able to meet the many needs of the patients and families at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital. Outside of pharmacy I also enjoy spending time with my husband and little girl and doing outdoor activities such as hiking and biking in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
“I am so happy to have recently rejoined the Bremo Pharmacy Team. It feels great to be part of a Pharmacy team that puts patient care and safety as their top priority.”
Hello, my name is Kristin Francis. I graduated from West Virginia University with a doctorate in Pharmacy in 2006. I completed a Community Pharmacy Practice residency with Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy in 2007, with my practice site being Bremo Pharmacy. I look forward to getting to know all of our patients and helping with their pharmacy needs. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two-year-old daughter.
“Bremo Pharmacy offers an ASHP-APhA accredited one-year (PGY-1) community pharmacy residency in partnership with VCU School of Pharmacy.”
