Specialty Pharmacy: Bremo to the Rescue!

Did you know that Bremo Pharmacy @ Henrico Doctors offers Specialty Pharmacy Services?

What does this mean?

This means that we are able to access medications and services that most other pharmacies cannot.

How does this impact our patients?

We can provide more thorough care to our patients who suffer from diseases and medical conditions that are not as commonly seen in the community.

What are examples of these conditions?

  • Anemia
  • Cancer
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Hepatitis B and C
  • HIV
  • Macular Degeneration
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Psoriasis
  • Psychosis
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • And More! Learn more about these and other drug classes under the classification of specialty pharmacy here.

How will I know these medications are safe and effective?

Our team monitors each specialty patient and reaches out monthly to discuss side effects, identify missed doses, and set up your next refill. We also offer these services to patients enrolled in our medication synchronization program. Find out how to enroll here.

Are these medications expensive?

Specialty medications can be very expensive. Luckily, we have access to a variety of assistance programs to ensure cost is never a barrier to receiving your potentially life-saving medication.

Are compounding and specialty pharmacy the same thing?

No- specialty pharmacy focuses on high cost, highly complex, and highly specific medications and compounding focuses on making individual products for both humans and animals that are not commercially available.

Do I have to be a patient of Bremo Pharmacy @ Henrico Doctors?

No! Though all of our specialty services are based at our Henrico location, we offer these services to any person in need. You can arrange to pick up your prescription at our Henrico location on Skipwith Road or our Retail location on Staples Mill Road. We even offer delivery services!
